Questions, answered.
Do biofireplaces need a chimney?
No. Bioethanol burns cleanly — no smoke, no flue, no ventilation shaft. All you need is a room with normal airflow.
Do they actually heat a room?
Yes. Depending on the burner, a biofireplace produces 2–6 kW of heat — comparable to a small electric heater, with a real flame.
Is it safe?
The models we carry use certified burners with flame sensors, CO₂ monitoring and automatic shut-off. We also advise on placement and clearances.
What does bioethanol cost to run?
Roughly €1–2 per hour of burn, depending on the burner size. A 5-litre bottle typically lasts 8–12 hours.
